Ligularia stenocephala 'The Rocket'
An architectural masterpiece for the shady border. Lush, tropical looking toothed leaves are deep green with purple-tinted undersides. From July to September spikes of bright yellow flowers on purple-black stems rise above the 3 to 4 foot mound of foliage. They require moist to wet conditions and soil high in organic matter to prevent wilting of the large leaves.
