Fruit laden bittersweet vines are prized for decorating. Showy fruits ripen in October, yellow-orange on the inside with crimson seed pods. The vigorous twining vines aren't fussy about soil and will grow 20 feet or more with sufficient space to climb. Glossy green summer foliage turns yellowish in fall. Plant three or more vines as both male and female plants are needed for fruiting. Plants are unsexed.
