(P.P.10412) Higher in vitamins and antioxidants than other varieties! Researchers at Ohio State University compared several varieties of raspberries and found that Caroline is higher in cancer-fighting antioxidants, beta carotene, and vitamins A, E, and C than any other raspberry tested. The fruits are very large, firm and cohesive with an exquisite flavor that is just the right balance between sweet and tangy. An excellent variety for southern areas as the heat-responsive plants ripen at least 2 to 3 weeks earlier that Heritage (30335) and even earlier in warm seasons, resulting in larger yields over a longer period of time. Plants grow 3 feet tall and have good tolerance to root rot and yellow rust.
