A wonderful pear for dessert, fresh eating and canning. Fruits are very large with lemon-yellow skin blushed red, the white flesh fine-grained, sweet and highly flavored. For best quality pick when full-sized but still green and ripen off the tree. Fruit doesn't keep long. Hardy, vigorous, productive trees are excellent pollinators for other pears. Ripens in August about 1 to 2 weeks before Bartlett (30805).
