Also called Korean Giant and Dan Bae, these golden-brown pears grow as big as grapefruit and often weigh up to a pound. They have wonderful sweet flavor and crisp, juicy texture. Fruit ripens in early to mid-October and keeps extremley well in cold storage. Vigorous, upright trees bear big crops annually. Our Asian pears are budded on hardy rootstocks. Not self-fruitful, so plant two varieties for pollination.
