Zones 3-9 The always popular bearded iris are hardy, easy to grow, not bothered by insects and come in a wide variety of colors. For success they require good drainage, ample sunshine and good air circulation. Set plants 18 to 24 inches apart, with no more than an inch of soil covering the rhizome. In northern areas mulching the first winter is recommended.
Our selection of bareroot rhizomes are SHIPPED IN THE FALL ONLY, mid-August through September.
