(se/sh2) The first sweet corn of the season never tasted so good! This improved version of Polka offers better emergence and improved resistance to Common Rust and Stewart's Wilt. Ears are 8-1/2 inches filled with 14 to 16 rows of sweet, tender, flavorful kernels. Good husk protection and excellent vigor for cold soil planting. Treated seed.

I Plant Montauk for main crop. Paydirt was compatible for me because both are considered synergistic. Paydirt gives you that first sweet corn without sacrificing taste/quality. We had a very dry growing season this year, so I had to ration my watering. Next year I'll make sure Paydirt gets more water allocation. We grow sweet corn for eating fresh and freezing cut corn in vacuum bags. Like eating fresh from the garden all year long. I rate this as a best early variety.
