Just about the most perfect zucchini you can grow! This superb summer squash has the unique feature of being parthenocarpic, so it doesn't require pollination by insects to set fruit. As a result, it produces high yields even when weather conditions aren't favorable. It can even be grown under row covers or in greenhouses successfully. The fruits are very high quality with glossy dark green skin and nearly seedless flesh that has excellent flavor. Optimum picking size is when fruits are 6 to 8 inches long. The fruits in our picture are nearly 12 inches long and still are very high quality and nearly seedless.

I have to say this has been the perfect zucchini plant this year. It doesn't span out and take over my garden but grows straight up producing 1 zucchini about every 2-3 days - perfect for me. I love the plant!

The name says it all. Easy to grow and easy to harvest at any size, simply give a gentle twist in either direction and they come off nicely. Excellent quality zucchini at any size. Lasts 2-3 weeks in storage. Cube and freeze what you can't eat to enjoy in

Fantastic fruit. Tender if harvested early and not woody until obviously overripe. "Fairly" compact plants, which is great for conserving space compared to other varieties we've had.

Nice uniform shape. Keep the vines clean of borer and pick over a long time. Excellent interior for the 1001 uses we have for zucchini! Probably the most versatile vegetable in the garden from appetizer to side dish to dessert and easy to grow. My wife makes a meatless stew from zucchine/potatoes/peppers/tomato paste/carrots/onion/celery. We look forward to a really big dutch oven full of zucchini stew every summer!
