Patriot originated in Maine and is very hardy and highly productive. Slightly spreading plants with an upright, open habit grow 4 to 5 feet in height and yield 10 to 20 lbs. of fruit. The fruit is very large and firm with good flavor for fresh use, preserves or freezing. Has fiery orange fall foliage. Adapts to many soil types and tolerates wetter soils better than most other blueberries.

This plant was tiny and etiolated. It is still not up to the grade they claim to sell after a month in my greenhouse. Save your money and buy a plant from a big box store, it's a far better deal.

It had a good start, but 3 of 3 plants did not come back after the winter. A big disappointment.

I originally planted this into a large pot, but it struggled all season, so I transplanted it into the ground. The roots look good, so I am hopeful. The fall color of the leaves is gorgeous!

    Not survived through the winter.
