Exquisite wintergreen fragrance. This evergreen groundcover bears small pinkish-white, bell-shaped flowers in spring. Wintergreen-scented, bright red fruits follow, persisting until the following spring. Lustrous, dark green, wintergreen-scented leaves turn burgundy-red in fall. Grows 6 inches tall and spreads nicely once established. Prefers moist, acidic soil rich in humus and a location in light to full shade.
