Golden Sunshine Runner Bean
#01162
(85) Tasty beans follow beautiful scarlet flowers. Chartreuse green foliage simply glows in the sun and offsets the scarlet-red flowers beautifully. The 6 to 8 foot vines produce loads of flat, green, tasty pods that are best picked at 4 to 6 inches long.
Ornamental and edible, runner beans tolerate cool, partially shaded areas better than other types of beans. Use them as vertical accents in flower beds and landscapes. Unlike other beans, the flowers require pollination to set pods. For best fresh-eating quality, pick when the beans are first beginning to form in the pods.
