Elderberry Offer, 1 of Each Variety
Cultivated elderberries are vigorous and productive with fruit much larger and sweeter than wild elderberries. Excellent for pies, wine and jelly. Large, creamy-white heads of flowers in early summer make it a showy ornamental. Plants grow 6 to 8 feet tall and should be planted 7 to 8 feet apart. Two varieties of elderberries are required for pollination. A single plant is almost entirely self-unfruitful. Our elderberry offer includes the cultivars Adams #1 and York, both hardy, vigorous varieties producing heavy clusters of fruit when planted in combination. One of each plant for a total of 2 plants.
