Deep red blooms add style and sophistication. Fully double blooms are filled with layer upon layer of ruffled, satiny petals in an intense shade of dark red. The large and dramatic, fragrant blooms are held on reddish stems and produced in abundance during late spring and early summer. Ht: 36". Zones 3-8. Peonies bloom in May and early June. Use them in beds and borders and also enjoy them as fragrant, long-lasting cut flowers. Plant in a sunny, well-drained location, spacing no closer than 3 to 4 feet with eyes no deeper than 1 1/2 inches below the soil level.
