The old-fashioned Bleeding Heart is indispensable for the early summer shady border. From May through June the 24 to 36 inch plants bear delicate rose-pink blossoms suspended along long arching stems. Lobed green foliage remains attractive in cooler summers of northern areas and goes dormant in warmer locations. Plant in rich, moist, well-drained soil.
