A strain of white birch from the UW-Madison which has proven to be highly resistant to the bronze birch borer. The original trees have survived over 30 years without any sign of birch borer. Very fast-growing, reaching a height of 30 to 40 feet with an attractive pyramidal form, pure white bark, and glossy, dark green leaves. It has withstood temperatures ranging from 100 degrees to 30 degrees below F, and is adaptable to a wide range of soil types. For an attractive birch clump, plant 3 to 5 trees in a group. 3 to 5 ft. bareroot trees.
We're sorry the 3 to 5 ft. Whitespire Birch is no longer available. We do have the 2 to 3 ft. size available.
