One of the most famous of the romantic Bourbon roses. This lovely old-timer was first introduced in 1868. A vigorous climber attaining a height of up to 15 feet, it produces masses of semi-double sweetly fragrant, carmine-pink blooms throughout the season, peaking in spring and fall. One of the few roses with good shade tolerance. Dark green foliage, coppery-purple when young, is very mildew resistant, covering long canes that are nearly thornless.
