Gooseberries after one year.

I ordered the gooseberry combination last year, 2023. I planted the 4 plants last spring and this year all four flowered and now in early May, 2024 I can see tiny gooseberries on each plant. When delivered the 4 plants were each a different size, One was very large and one was very small. The size difference remains, though each is larger than when planted. I was surprised the smallest one actually flowered.
