Standard and Chinese varieties available
This popular, easy-to-grow cool season crucifer is available in several forms. Standard cabbage produces round to pointed heads and varieties may have smooth or wrinkled leaves in green or purple colors. It is used fresh in salads and coleslaw, cooked, and fermented to make sauerkraut. Chinese cabbage has an elongated, upright habit. It is eaten raw and used in Oriental cooking and stir fry dishes.
