(100-110 Days) A dent corn grown since the mid-1800s. Large 8-12" ears are deep red with darker accents of reddish black. Produces 2 or more ears per stalk. Heirloom.
For best results, isolate from all other corn. When planting both ornamental corn and sweet corn in home gardens, plant the ornamental corn first to avoid cross-pollination. Wait three weeks, then plant the sweet corn.
