Highly ornamental thornless vines produce attractive flowers and delicious fruits. Developed in Sweden these weed smothering, hardy plants spread by underground rhizomes creating a thick mat of bright green foliage that reaches just 5 to 6 inches in height. In spring, plants bear 1 inch pink flowers followed by small, sweet, aromatic berries that ripen in midsummer. In fall, the foliage turns attractive shades of red and burgundy. Plants require cross pollination, so plant at least one of each variety to maximize your harvest - up to one pound per plant. Ground cover respberries will begin bearing the year after planting and prefer part shade to full sun.
Use Sophia Ground Cover Raspberry as a pollinizer.
