Toka Plum is a superb plum
Sep 5, 2024  |  By Bill A.
I believe I planted our Toka Plum from Jung in '19 or '20. We planted it in slightly sloped, loamy clay soil. It grew beautifully. We got a few plums in '22. Late frost killed all fruit from fruit-bearing trees in '23. This year the tree blossomed magnificently. The tree was so loaded I had to cull some immature plums. We harvested over 50 lbs. The taste was exquisite, like a cross between plum and apricot. The fragrance of them filled the kitchen. We froze 9 quarts and gave away many pounds to neighbors. We are fortunate to have this tree. We thank Jung Seed and Nursery for providing such a high quality product.
