Favorites of bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. The fragrant, mint scented foliage and colorful, whorled flowers of this member of the mint family are lovely in the flower border. Blooms prolifically through the summer months and fills in open spaces readily. Plant in rich, moist, well drained soil. Jacob Cline - Very large, bright red flowers appear in tight clusters atop stocky, square stems. Discovered in Georgia, it has proven to be one of the most mildew resistant varieties across the U.S. It grows 3 to 4 feet tall.
