Best Cucumbers Ever
Jul 27, 2026  |  By Norman Morris
The Tasty Green Hybrid cucumber we planted this year are absolutely fantastic. They have produced beautiful long cukes, and have a great flavor, and the skins are just the right thickness. They are also very prolific, and the neighbors are very happy to accept the bounty we are sharing with them. Planted on trellises on the sunny side of the house and kept
watering well through the extended heat wave here in Minn. And the bees just love the flowers,

Mild Syrian type cucumber
May 9, 2025  |  By Martin Urberg
We got used to middle eastern cucumbers when we lived in Detroit, MI. When we moved to Minneapolis we found that Tasty Green cucumbers are very much like the Syrian cucumbers we were used to. They are mild with a thin skin. They are good when about a foot long and an inch in diameter. They need to be staked as they can get 7 or 8 feet tall.
