Recognized by its bright red-orange color, but sought-after for its flavor. The vitamin-rich, bright orange flesh of this Kabocha-type squash is thick, creamy-smooth and stringless with sweet, nutty flavor. Space-saving 6 to 8 foot vines yield a good supply of the flattened globe-shaped, 3 to 4 pound fruits. Matures early and is widely adapted. 2004 AAS Winner.

Not really semi-bush. They took over the entire back half of my garden, but I forgive them because they gave me 21 nice sized Kabochas off of 3 plants. They are really beautiful and taste delicious. Flesh is not as dry as my wife prefers but I think the flavor won her over too. I believe these are my go to Kabocha from now on. I just hope they store well:)
