(65-75 Day) Our new favorite seedless watermelon is sure to be yours too. In our summer trials, it surpassed Summer Sweet® 5234 Plus Hybrid (discontinued) in sweetness and quality. The oblong, dark-mottled fruits average 17-21 pounds and have deep-red flesh that is exceptionally sweet and crisp. Tailgate demonstrates a low occurrence of hollow heart, high resistance against anthracnose, and intermediate resistance against fusarium. Cannot ship to: SC.

Cross-pollination is required for seedless watermelons. Each packet includes 5 additional seeds of a pollinenizer variety. Plant these seeds in an alternating pattern 2 to 1 with the seedless variety.

Was a great seedless and easy to grow

This was an easy watermelon to grow, being my first time seedless watermelon and watermelon in general. I had no issues besides understanding the male and female seeds. I eventually just grew about 6 females and 2 males and was able to naturally get about 7 seedless watermelons to grow close to the size in the description. Granted, I am in a short growing zone i see that as a success. These watermelons were very tasty and my 3 year old has a blast growing them from seed to plate. "These are better than the store ones" -my 3 year old
