NOT THE PRIDE OF MINNESOTA!
Aug 15, 2025  |  By Ginny
I tried these along side my standby Athena, just to try something new.(north of St. Paul, MN). They started out great then suddenly started collapsing in the middle of the day, regardless of moisture levels. They would pop back up overnight. Athenas were fine, growing in the exact same conditions. They slowly went down hill, the fruit stayed small, and ripened on mostly dead vines resulting in tasteless melons. After trying so many different varieties that fail, I will just stick with Athena from now on!
