Flowers Were Disappointing
Oct 19, 2023  |  By Ginny
I planted the plant I got this spring(zone 4), central Minnesota. It grew huge! By the end of the season it was six feet tall and a good four feet wide! Nice big beautiful plant, but the flowers were very disappointing. Unlike the other butterfly bushes I have(six) that get long lilac-like flowers, Honeycomb produced small little balls on the ends of the big flower stems.. Not showy at all....mostly looked like a green bush. I kept waiting and waiting for things to improve, but they didn't. The bees and butterflies liked what little there was though...
