Combines early fruiting with Canadian hardiness. Large, glossy red, wedge- to conic-shaped berries are firm with bright red flesh and excellent flavor. Fruit size holds from first to last picking. Yields are nearly double those of other early June-bearing varieties. Early season. Zones: 3-8.

Anticipating a bumper crop!

We ordered 50 Wendy berry plants last spring for the first time and they grew vigorously in our prepared raised bed, producing some nice first-season berries. Now it's almost mid-May, and we have had a cold late spring here in southern Michigan. We haven't set out many plants yet, but our vigorous Wendy bed full of blossoms is a joy to see! My strawberry-loving family is eagerly watching for the first crop.
