For a mass of color and real beauty, a canna bed is hard to beat. They are easy to grow, withstand heat, are not bothered by insects and bloom from July until frost. Dig in the fall and store like gladiolus. Please note: Heights are approximate and may vary with growing conditions. (top size 2-5 eye tubers) Soft-peach-toned flowers combine beautifully with glossy green foliage. Ht: 3-3½'.
In Zones 3-7, canna rhizomes must be dug in fall and stored inside over the winter. For best results, dig the rhizomes after the first frost and allow them to dry down for a few days before storing them in peat moss in a cool, dry, dark and frost-free location.
