Onion

A kitchen staple, onions are one of the most popular and versatile vegetables grown by home gardeners. Starting in spring we offer a wide range of onion varieties; white, yellow, red, and shallots. Depending on the variety, onions are shipped as seed or in bunches. To ensure the best harvest, be sure to plant onions in early spring as soon as the ground can be worked, which is usually late March to April or 4-6 weeks prior to the last average frost date. Onions are a cool season crop, that can tolerate lingering cold temperatures of early spring.
